Blockout PVC contains an opaque internal layer that limits light transmission and prevents graphics on the opposite side from showing through. It is the right material for double-sided hanging banners, frames with a visible background and installations requiring solid colour coverage.

When should you use blockout material?
Blockout is recommended when the background must not influence the printed colours, or when two different graphics are printed on opposite sides of the same banner.
How blockout works
An opaque layer inside the material reduces light transmission and separates the front and reverse graphics. This produces more stable colour and prevents unwanted shadows from the opposite side.
The heavier material requires a suitable mounting system and should not be treated as a wind-permeable product.
One-sided or two-sided print
Blockout can be printed on one side when opacity is the main requirement, or on both sides when the banner will be viewed from opposite directions.
For two-sided artwork, confirm orientation and reading direction for each side before production.
Finishing and artwork
Eyelets, welded edges and pockets are available. The finish must match the hanging method and expected load.
Supply separate print-ready files for side A and side B. Clearly label each file and include a simple orientation sketch when necessary.

Does blockout completely stop light?
It is designed to be opaque and significantly reduces light transmission. Exact performance depends on material, print and lighting conditions.
Can both sides have different artwork?
Yes. Send clearly labelled files for side A and side B.
Is blockout suitable for windy fences?
It is heavier and does not allow wind through. For exposed fencing or scaffolding, mesh is usually safer.
Can you make ceiling-hung banners?
Yes, provided the suspension points and fire-safety requirements are confirmed by the venue.
What finishing is available?
Welded edges, eyelets, pockets and custom finishing can be quoted.
Are prices shown in PLN?
Yes. The English calculator uses the same PLN prices and VAT rules as the Polish website.
