Reduced wind load for large outdoor graphics

Wind-permeable mesh banners

Mesh is a perforated banner material that allows part of the air to pass through. It is designed for large, exposed installations such as scaffolding, building façades and fences where solid PVC would create excessive wind load.

Designed for exposed locations

Why choose mesh instead of solid PVC?

Mesh reduces wind pressure on the graphic and supporting structure. This makes it a safer and more practical option for scaffolding and very large outdoor surfaces, subject to structural approval.

🏗️
Scaffolding covers
Large-format advertising and project graphics on temporary scaffolding systems.
🏢
Building façades
Oversized campaigns where lower weight and airflow are important.
🌬️
Exposed fences
Graphics in locations where standard PVC would behave like a sail.

Perforated material and image appearance

The open structure reduces wind load but also lowers colour density compared with solid PVC. At normal viewing distance the image remains readable, while close-up the perforation is visible.

Strong contrast and larger graphic elements are recommended for the best result.

Installation and structural responsibility

Mesh must be fixed evenly around the perimeter with a suitable number of attachment points. The supporting structure, fixings and wind-load calculations remain the responsibility of the installer or site manager.

Very large graphics may be divided into panels for production and installation.

Files for large-format mesh

Prepare artwork to scale in CMYK. Around 70–100 dpi at final size is often sufficient, depending on viewing distance.

Keep important text away from seams, edges, eyelets and panel joins. We can help plan panel division after receiving final dimensions.

Frequently asked questions

Does mesh eliminate wind load?

No. It reduces wind pressure but does not remove it. The structure and fixings must still be assessed.

Is the print less intense than on PVC?

Yes. The perforation makes colours appear slightly lighter, especially at close range.

Can very large graphics be produced?

Yes. They are divided into printable panels and joined or installed side by side.

Is mesh suitable for indoor use?

It can be used indoors, but solid PVC or textile usually provides a denser image when wind permeability is unnecessary.

What eyelet spacing is recommended?

It depends on size, exposure and structure. Closer spacing may be required for large or exposed installations.

Do you offer installation?

Banner installation in Wrocław can be quoted after reviewing the site, access and mounting structure.
