Graphics on glass without a solid white background
Transparent self-adhesive film for glass
Transparent film is used when the glazing should remain partly visible through the graphic. Depending on the design, the print may be intentionally translucent or supported with a white underprint for stronger colour and contrast.

When should transparent film be used?
Use it for logos, opening hours and graphics that need to sit on glass without covering the entire pane with a white rectangle. The final appearance depends strongly on the background and lighting.
Transparent ink and white underprint
CMYK inks are not fully opaque on clear film. Without white ink, colours look lighter and change with the background behind the glass.
A white underprint can be added under selected areas to improve contrast. It must be planned in the artwork and confirmed before production.
Inside or outside application
The mounting side affects the visual result, durability and reading direction. Film installed inside and viewed through glass may require mirrored artwork.
Send a photo of the glass and explain which side is accessible so the correct setup can be chosen.
Surface preparation
The surface must be smooth, clean, dry and free from grease, silicone and old adhesive. Dust or residue can remain visible through clear film.
A small test is recommended on coated or unknown substrates.
Artwork requirements
Supply print-ready PDF files in CMYK. Mark white-ink areas as a separate spot-colour layer if white underprint is required.
Fine pale text may disappear against a bright or busy background, so strong contrast is recommended.
Frequently asked questions
Will colours look the same as on white vinyl?
No. Without white underprint, colours are more translucent and are influenced by the background.
Can you print white ink?
White underprint can be prepared after checking the artwork and intended effect.
Can the film be installed from inside?
Sometimes. The artwork and adhesive direction must be planned for the viewing side.
Is it suitable for every plastic surface?
No. Some plastics release gases or have low surface energy. A test may be required.
Can it be laminated?
Yes, when additional protection is needed and the laminate is compatible with the application.
What is the maximum print width?
A single printed strip is normally limited to approximately 158 cm. Wider graphics are divided into panels.
