Economical printed vinyl

Monomeric vinyl for flat, short-term applications

A practical short-term vinyl

Where does monomeric vinyl work best?

Use it on flat signs, windows and display panels when price is important and the graphic is temporary or installed in a relatively protected location.

🪧
Flat sign boards
Short-term advertising on suitable PVC, composite and other smooth panels.
🪟
Windows
Promotional graphics and temporary information on smooth glazing.
🏬
Indoor displays
Exhibition panels, retail campaigns and point-of-sale graphics.

What monomeric vinyl is designed for

Monomeric film is made for flat and slightly curved surfaces. It is economical but not intended for deep recesses, rivets or complex shapes.

For demanding outdoor work, vehicles or long-term applications, a polymeric or cast vinyl may be more appropriate.

Substrate condition

The surface must be smooth, dry, clean and stable. Fresh paint, low-energy plastics, silicone and porous materials can cause adhesion problems.

A test application is recommended on unknown or sensitive substrates.

When to add lamination

Lamination protects the print from abrasion, cleaning and UV exposure. It also changes the surface finish to gloss or matt.

For short indoor campaigns, lamination may be unnecessary. For outdoor or frequently cleaned graphics, it is usually recommended.

Artwork and cutting

Supply CMYK PDF artwork with bleed. Contour-cut stickers require a closed vector cut line.

Minimum detail size depends on the material, cutter and intended installation, so very small elements should be discussed before production.

Frequently asked questions

Can monomeric vinyl be used outdoors?

Yes, for suitable short-term applications on flat surfaces. Durability depends on exposure and lamination.

Is it suitable for cars?

Not for full wraps or complex bodywork. It may be used for simple flat areas after checking the application.

Can it be removed cleanly?

Often, but residue and surface changes cannot be ruled out without testing the substrate and considering installation time.

Do I need lamination?

Use lamination when the print will be cleaned, touched frequently or exposed outdoors.

Can you cut individual stickers?

Yes. Simple contour cutting is available with correct vector artwork.

What is the maximum strip width?

A single printed strip is normally up to approximately 158 cm wide.
