Sublimation print on polyester

Sublimation transfers colour into the polyester fibres, producing a flexible print with a relatively matt surface. The result is lighter and softer than a PVC banner.

The appearance depends on lighting and tension. Fine creases may be visible after transport and usually reduce once the fabric is properly hung or lightly steamed according to material guidance.

Finishing options

The standard offer includes hemmed edges, reinforcement tape and metal eyelets. Other options can be quoted when the installation system is known.

Textile is not automatically suitable for every outdoor location. Wind, rain and fire-safety requirements must be considered separately.

Artwork preparation

Supply a CMYK PDF with fonts embedded or converted to outlines. Avoid very fine pale elements on white backgrounds when the graphic will be viewed from a distance.

For stage and exhibition work, include bleed and mark the intended visible area if part of the fabric will be wrapped or hidden.

Frequently asked questions

Can textile banners be used outdoors?

Only in suitable sheltered conditions. For regular outdoor exposure, PVC or mesh is usually more appropriate.

Can the fabric be folded?

Yes. It is easier to transport than PVC, although folds may require careful hanging or light steaming.

Is the material fire-rated?

Do not assume a fire rating. Venue-specific certification must be confirmed before ordering.

Can it be washed?

Cleaning depends on the exact fabric and finishing. Ask before washing to avoid damaging the print or seams.

What finishing is included?

The standard configuration includes hemmed edges, reinforcement tape and metal eyelets.

Is it suitable as a photo backdrop?

Yes, especially when a softer, less reflective surface is preferred.
